BADC was the place to be!

Cornell DanceSport once again attended Big Apple DanceSport Challenge (BADC) as the third competition for the semester. This is a massive two-day competition in the heart of New York City at Columbia University. Agava is a popular southwest style restaurant in Ithaca and, every Wednesday night, it collaborates with Salsa Ithaca to bring the community a free Salsa lesson. Getting the Gold at Brown!

Earlier this semester our team had the wonderful opportunity to travel to Cranston, Rhode Island to compete at Brown University's competition! Robert & Yuehan Set the Floor on Fire @ Bailemos!

Earlier this semester, seniors and four-year partners Robert and Yuehan represented Cornell DanceSport at the Bailemos Latin and Dance Club social in Willard Straight Hall. Into the Streets: Volunteering was Unbe-leaf-able!

Earlier last month, some of our team members headed over to Ithaca City Cemetery to volunteer as part of Into the Streets, which is Cornell University's largest day of service! We collaborated with Historic Ithaca to help clean up the cemetery in preparation for the 4th annual mile run through the cemetery the following day. On Friday Night at the Museum Clubs evening Masquerade themed event, Ryan Bisbey and partner Esther Foo performed a variety of Latin dances to Halloween themed music. Following the performance the two taught a short introductory Cha Cha lesson to museum-goers. Cornell Couple Competes Princeton

Following the Cornell DanceSport Classic, couple Ryan Bisbey and Esther Foo traveled to Princeton, NJ to represent the team at the Princeton Ballroom Competition. The couple not only placed first in all dances in Prechampionship Latin but also won Championship Latin taking first in Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, and Jive and third in Cha Cha.
